Is hypnosis safe

Yes, completely safe.  Hypnosis is simply the replication of our natural trance state that we find ourselves in many times each day.  When we reproduce this focused state on the therapists couch, we have the ability to create positive change in a calm and relaxed way.

Where are you located

I am located at the Thrive Hubs, Office 2, 24-26 The Crescent, Plymouth, PL1 3AD.

How do I book my initial consultation

Your initial consultation can be booked by phone, email or on my contact page.

What will happen at this consultation

Once you arrive at my therapy room, I will invite you to sit down and relax.  I will start  by taking a few details and once we have discussed the reason for your visit, I will tailor the therapy to you, personally.  At this point, you will be given a more exact idea of the number of sessions you will require.

For how long will my consultation/session last for

The initial consultation will last around 45 minutes with each subsequent session lasting around 55 minutes.  Smoking cessation lasts between 1 and a half to 2 hours.

What is the cost of a session

The initial consultation is free with each subsequent session costing £70.00.  Smoking cessation is an extended, intense session and costs £200.00.  Payment is due at the end of each session, I accept card or cash.

How many sessions will I need

The number of sessions is really dependent on the issue you have come to resolve.  However, as a rough guide; stop smoking is 1 extended session, simple phobias are 4 sessions including the initial consultation with therapy for depression or anxiety taking up to 10 or 12 sessions.

Can I come with a friend/partner

Yes, most clients however attend on their own as they feel more comfortable discussing personal issues on a one to one basis.  On the other hand, if it helps you feel more at ease, then it is perfectly fine to have someone come along with you.

Do I need to tell you about my problem before I see you

No, we do not have to discuss anything before we meet.  We can, of course, chat over the phone or by email if you so wish but this is entirely your decision.

Do you work with children

Yes, I have worked with many children before and found that they too can benefit from hypnotherapy.  Children over the age of 7 or 8 respond best to treatment.

How do I change/cancel my appointment

Please allow 24 hours notice if you need to change or cancel an appointment.  Please telephone if this is necessary.

What qualifications do you hold

I hold the nationally accredited Hypnotherapy Practitioner’s Diploma.  The Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.  Diploma is psychotherapy and Level 5 Degree Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy Supervisor.

I continue to update my career professional development with this year with my proffessional development including neuroscience, meditation and mindfulness.

What accredited bodies to you belong to

I am a member of the Association of Solution Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH).

You haven’t answered my question, what can I do
